Welcome to Chisenupuri

Rankoshi Town's Backcountry Paradise!
History

History

Chisenpuri is a small secluded ski hill located just 15 mins drive from the international resort of Niseko United. With it's high base elevation and unique location, Chise is famous for its incredibly reliable powder and unique terrain. With its many natural pillows, perfectly spaced trees, 4 official runs and backcountry exit over a natural onsen, Chise's 275m vertical meters feel much bigger!

Chisenupuri ski resort first began in 1977 when the town of Rankoshi built a modest lift, day lodge, and small hotel in the national park near YukiChichibu Onsen. Surrounded by outstanding nature, hot springs, and blessed with abundant powder snow "Chise" quickly became a local favorite. Unfortunately, a shrinking customer base and an aged lift caused Rankoshi town to shut the lift and remove the hotel in 2012. Since then the Chisenupuri ski resort has been a hidden gem for local backcountry skiing, and special private tours.

JRT Trading took over the lease in 2016 and until we can breathe life into the resort with a new lift and lodge facility we will begin running cats to the top of the old lift runs.
